Biography
Sophia Violet is a rising force in the electronic music scene, known for her eclectic and dynamic mix of house and garage.
Sophia first started experimenting with DJing in her hometown in the south west and took her developing sound up to Liverpool, where she solidified her place in the local scene. She’s now played sets in Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Australia, catering to each audience she’s in front of. Some highlights include LoFi Amsterdam, Progress Centre in Manchester, as well as a sold out headline show in Newcastle. Sophia’s platform Type One Community has also seen her play Glastonbury 2024 for their takeover.
Whether playing in intimate clubs or large-scale festivals, crowd connection is central to Sophia’s sets. Her single ‘Want Me’ with skeptic encapsulates her nostalgic yet progressive sound, with more production planned in 2025.
