Biography

JJess (pronounced Jess) is a London based DJ that takes an eclectic route when selecting music. She is inspired by both her British & Nigerian roots and likes to approach DJing as storytelling, taking listeners/dancers on a sonic journey. The international DJ was listed by The Face as one of the hottest names to know right now; she has played x3 Boiler Rooms, for brands such as Heaven by Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Browns, Dazed,Nike, Puma & Levis. She has also played infamous spaces such as The Warehouse Project & Fabric.

JJess was also one of the faces of the Puma Velophasis campaign in the Summer of 2023 and has gone on to deliver electrifying mixes for the likes of Crack, Apple Music, SNS, Red Bull, NTS & No Signal.

She is the founder of research project Dancefloor Theory – which seeks to interrogate the history Black British people have with dance & electronic music. JJess is also Pinkpatheress’ tour DJ and continues to tour across Europe, USA, Australia & New Zealand.
