Anthony Parasole, a pivotal figure in the resurgence of NYC dance music in the 2000s, has made an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene. His work embodies the reemergence of a distinctly New York techno sound: raw, powerful, explicitly gestural, always forward thinking and exciting, yet deeply rooted in the underground music scene he experienced growing up in the five boroughs.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Anthony’s lifelong passion for electronic music is evident in his work. His early exposure to dance tracks from New York, Chicago, and Detroit and his firsthand street experiences of NYC’s red-hot hip-hop, Club music, and punk scenes have shaped his unique style. This influence is clear in his extensive discography, which includes classic releases on esteemed labels such as Ostgut Ton, Dekmantel, and MDR, as well as his genre-defining imprints, The Corner and Deconstruct Music.
With the launch of his critically acclaimed FULL EFX project on the legendary NYC imprint L.I.E.S. Anthony’s musical journey comes full circle. This project represents the fullest expression of his sound to date. While fans of his established techno style will find much to love, including some of his most powerful tracks yet, FULL EFX is also about musical exploration. The project delves into that raw deep house sound where Anthony first made his mark and ventures into hip-hop, IDM, and off-tempo experimentation, often incorporating his own mutated vocals for a personal touch.
